Punk of the YEAR – Denver +3.5 @ Cincinnati

There are only so many horrifying ways to lose a game, and the Broncos accomplished all of them and a few previously unknown to man. First they get a gift when Chase Brown tries to slide to run out the clock but injures himself stopping the clock. Great for the Broncos, a nightmare for bettors as Cinci decides not to take the FG since they can only run the clock down to 20 seconds and not zero(not sure on this logic). The Negals score a TD instead of a FG and lead by 7 with about 90 seconds left. Bo Nix drives the Broncos down and hits Mims on a prayer with 8 seconds left to tie it at 27 – 27, paying back the bettors who were just screwed. Or so we thought…..

Getting +3.5 in OT isn’t the worst thing, especially when Cincinnati lines up to kick a game winning 33 yard FG for the cover by a hook…that doinks off the upright. No worries, the Broncos have the ball and can control the clock and line up for a last second win, or just take the tie, both winners for them and the bet……all they have to do is not go three and out and take no time off the clock. Errrr……

Well ok, then let’s take the tie or let the Bengals kick a gimme FG to cover….Ummmmm….Burrow hits Tee Higgins for the 400th time in the game and his 3rd TD, Bengals 30 – Denver 24. The +3.5 points gets flushed with the ticket.
