Home teams are 79 – 90 against the spread, and a mere 88 -86 straight up in 2024. Yet another weird angle, if you simply bet the away team =/- the points each week, you would be having a profitable season.

Pick of the Week – Carolina +11 vs Kansas City

Not only did Carolina cover easily, they almost won the game outright at +560 on the moneyline. The Eagles pick was another easy winner, but taking the Panthers against the 10 – 1 chiefs was bold, so let’s give a vortual tip of the cap to the silicon for this one.

Punk of the Week – San Francisco +4.5 @ Green Bay

I really wouldn’t have had too much issue with this pick had the 49ers showed up to play. But San Francisco got dominated from start to finish. I don’t think Purdy is Joe Montana, but he is better than Allen and he does make the niners more formitable when he is out there. Having said that, I am not sure Purdy even gets this to a one score game considering how the Packers offense just carved through the niners defense.
