Against The Spread 12 – 4

The Algorithm is hot.  Scorching hot.  58 – 30 – 2 over the past 6 weeks.  Week 16 was the best week of the year with a 12 – 4 ATS record.  It was just a few points away from a perfect week(see Punk of the Week).  The Algorithm is now 111 – 92 – 5 on the season ATS and it is coming down the home stretch like a PC on fire.

Over/Under Point Totals  12 – 4

The Algorithm repeated last week’s 12 – 4 with another 12 – 4 week.  That is 24 – 8 over the past 2 weeks on the totals.  If it were not for Undergeddon earlier in the year which put the Algorithm in a huge hole, it wouldn’t be scrambling for it’s life trying to crawl back to .500 on the season on the over/under predictions.

Pick of the Week – Bengals @ Steelers (+2.5)

Vegas said the Bengals were -2.5 point favorites.  The Algorithm mocked Vegas, slapped it across the face, challenged it to a duel, and came up with Steelers (-2.5) for a money line pick.  Then Pittsburgh laid a beat down on Jake Browning and the Bengals to the tune of 34 – 11 for a tasty +120 return on the moneyline.

Punk of the Week – None

I am absolving the Algorithm from a Punk of the Week this week.  Here are the four losses on the ATS card:

• Saints +4.5, lost by 8
• Titans +2.5, lost by 3
• Jets -3, Win by 2
• Vikings +3, lost by 6

That is a total of 8 points for four draws, or 10 points for a perfect 16 – 0 week.  Technically the Saints game was the Punk for those keeping score and are antisiliconites.
