As always, remember the Algorithm bases everything on statistics. It cannot see or take into account injuries, weather, and non numeric factors. Pick of the Week – Minnesota +3 vs Houston I could have picked the Washington selection against Cincinnati given the Commanders were getting 8 points and won outright, but the Vikings pick was better. The Algorithm said that Minnesota should be -5 point favorites at home against Houston while Vegas had it at Houston -3. Final score Vikings 34 Texans 7. When the Algorithm has the nuts to say Vegas is that wrong on a pick, and then produces a gimme win like that, you get Pick of the Week. Punk of the Week – Las Vegas - 5.5 vs Carolina Executed by the Red Rifle. Andy Dalton crawls off the bench for the first time in a year and looks like Joe Montana. Carolina comes into the Black Hole and sucked the life out of the Raiders. I am sure some handicappers saw value in the line with Dalton coming in, but I am not sure anyone had 36 - 22 predicted.
