The Algorithm is in a rut going 6 – 8 – 1 in week 7, dropping the season record 1 game below .500 at 51 – 52 – 4.  It was an improvement from the dismal 3 – 11 week 6 effort, but it got off to a terrible start going 2 – 6 – 1 through the 1pm games.  The one sign of joy was it went 4 – 2 from the 4pm games through Monday Night

Pick of the Week – Washington -8 vs Carolina

Washington is good, Carolina is really bad.  Basically unless the Panthers are getting at least 10 points from a good team, you have to consider betting against them.  The Redskins need to clwean up their pass defense if they want to make any real noise, but they can score points and surprise some good teams that are still taking them lightly.

Punk of the Week – Atlanta -3 vs Seattle

There were a lot of candidates for Punk of the Week given how many blowouts there were, but I’ll go with the Falcons laying an egg at home to the Seahawks.  Atlanta looked flat and Seattle just came in and did whatever they wanted.  Hard to make out what kind of team the Falcons are.  Either they play a close game down to the final minute, or just look bad.  Not a great combination for a team that was hoping to do some damage in the playoffs.
