The Algorithm
The NFL Lines Algorithm uses the current season NFL stats to generate power ratings for each team, and then uses the power rating to predict games against the Las Vegas Spread. It also attempts to predict the points total for the game by comparing each team’s offense against the opposing team’s defense.
Power Rankings
Generate Power Rankings for each team based on current year statistics.
Game Matchups
Compares team power ratings, offensive and defensive ratings to generate a point spread and over/under total for each game.
Comparative NFL Statistics
Power ratings and points spreads are generated by comparing and scoring key performance indicators.
The Predictions
The Algorithm makes its predictions for each game against the spread and against the over/under total.
